アメリカに留学中の梅野　桃花さんから第二回目の留学報告が届きました。

Hi, guys! How are you doing? 皆さんこんにちは! コロラド州に留学中の桃花です。 前回のレポートからもう２か月経つことに時の流れの速さを感じます。私の住んでいる地域はこの前初雪が降りました！お昼はまだ暖かいのですぐ溶けてしまいましたが段々と寒くなってきています。１２月になっても雪景色を見ないのは初めての経験なのでとても新鮮です。もうすぐクリスマスなので早く雪が降らないかなと毎日ワクワクしています。

この２か月は沢山の行事がありました！まずはchoirのコンサートです。アメリカでやりたい事の一つが叶ってとても嬉しかったです。大勢の前で歌うのはとても緊張したけど、友達が「頑張ったね！」と言ってくれたり、ファミリーも見に来てくれてファザーが「Momoが一番輝いてたよ！」と言ってハグしてくれました。次のChristmasコンサートに向けて練習が始まっているので次回も頑張ります。
そして私が一番楽しみにしていたHalloween！ブラザー(Elijah)とシスター２人(Moxxi,Bethney)とpumpkin pickに行ってカボチャを取ってきて自分たちの好きなキャラクターなど彫りました。私はモンスターズインクのマイクワゾウスキーを彫って結構うまくできて満足です。が、思ったより大変で次の日は筋肉痛になりました。１０月３１日は一番下のシスターMoxxiと友達でtrick or treat しに行きました！私はMoxxiの好きなアニメキャラクター（フェアリーテイルのルーシィ）の仮装で行きました。やっぱりアニメってすごいですね、沢山の人に「ルーシィ！」と声をかけられました。お年寄りのお家へ行くと「貴方の仮装はとても可愛いからみんなより多くあげるわ！」と沢山お菓子をgetできました。アメリカならではの経験ができて日本にもこの文化は取り入れるべきだ！と思いました（笑）　他には色んな友達の家でHalloweenパーティーをしたり、とにかくアメリカ人のHalloweenに対する思いを強く感じました。
１１月はサンクスギビング！Thanksgiving break で学校が９連休でファミリーとお買い物に行ったり映画を見に行ったり、上のシスター２人のボーイフレンドが家に来て盛大にdinnerをしたりみんなでゲームしたりしました。メインのターキーは普通のチキンより少しぱさぱさしてるくらいであまり変わらないように感じました。何よりマザーの料理は本当に美味しいので食べ過ぎてしまいました。帰国するのが本当に怖いです（笑）
サンクスギビングが終わった次の日にはもうChristmasモード！みんなでクリスマスソングを歌いながら家中飾りつけをしました。夜は本当にどこの家もキラキラしていて綺麗です。今は夜ご飯を食べ終わった後、Moxxiと星座やライトアップされて綺麗な景色を見ながらジャグジーに入るのが私の楽しみな時間です。たまに温泉の入浴剤を入れて露天風呂のようにしていてMoxxiも気に入ってくれます。日本人には欠かせない文化ですね。

私が住んでいる地域は田舎ですが車で２０分もあれば大きなモールがあったりちょっと行くとびっくりするくらい都会なんです！だから私はよくマザーとMoxxiと学校帰りにshoppingに行ったり映画を見に行ったりPizzaを食べに行ったりしています。あとは４０分くらいで州都のDenverに行くこともできます。この前はドイツや中国、イタリアからの留学生の友達とDenverでやっていたGerman Festivalにいってきました。Denverの街並みは本当に素敵できれいで人もごちゃごちゃしていなくて大好きです！来週はファミリーと夜にDenverに行ってパレードを見に行く予定です。

少し学校生活についてお話しします。EnglishとModern Americaはいまだ大変ですが助けてくれる友達がいたりただ映画を見る日などもあって楽しいです。Modern　Americaの授業ではよく先生に日本のこと話して！と言われます。みんなの前でつたない英語を話すのは不安だし緊張しますが、みんな真剣に聞いてくれて興味を持ってくれます。日本の学校制度や北星について話した時はみんなの悲鳴が聞こえました（笑）「授業中食べ物食べちゃいけないとか携帯はだめとかみんな同じ服を着てずっと先生の話をきいてノートをとるだけなんて窮屈だわ」という子もいれば「生徒が掃除をするのはとてもいいことだ」という子もいました。色んな意見があって私もとても勉強になります。
この前のDrawingの授業では先生がいきなり「みんな！！手洗ってきて！」と言い出して手を洗った人からテーブルにあるドーナッツをとっていってドーナッツパーティーが始まりました（笑）アメリカ人の自由さに驚きながらもみんなでCartoonを見ながらドーナッツを食べました。今度、Geometryの授業でもPizza パーティーがあります（笑）　と、このように自由な学校で苦戦しながらも頑張っています！

長くなってごめんなさい。少し書きすぎてしまいました。ここに来てからもうすぐ４か月が経ちますが焦りと不安は常にあります。でも自分のペースでできることを全力でやるだけだと思っているので残された時間を大切に精一杯頑張ります！

Hi,guys! How are you doing? I’m Momoka in Colorado. I feel the speed of the passage of time, cause two months past from the last report. The other day, the first snow came in my town! but this area I am living is still warm in the afternoon so it was melt soon. It is my first experience can’t see snow in December.
I’m so  excited that it will be white view by Christmas.

Anyway, There were many event these 2 months. First is Choir concert. I was so glad that I can sing in America. I was so nurvous to sing for many people, but my friends said “Good job Momo!” after concert and my host family came to see me, my host father hug and said ” you were shining than anyone else!” 
I’ll do my best next Christmas concert.
Then it is my favorite event “Halloween”!  I went to pumpukin pick with my host brother (Elijah)and 2 host sisters (Moxxi, Bethney) and we carved the picture of the favorite character. I carved Mike Wazowski in the movie of Monsters,Inc! I think my pumpkin art was so good but it was so hard work for me I was tired so much. In October 31st, I went to trick or treating with Moxxi and her friends. I costumed one of the anime charactor Moxxi likes. Her name is Lucy. She is charactor in FAIRYTAIL. I was talked so many people, cause I’m anime charactor. when I went to the old woman’s house, she said ” you’re costume is so  cute, so I’ll give you one more candey than other kids.” I was able to get many snacks:) haha
I thought Japan should integrate the nice Halloween culture! Also I went to other friends house to do Halloween party. These people love Halloween than other event.
November is ThanksgivingDay! There was no school day for 9 days, so I went to costoco to buy food and movie with my family. Also we had big dinner.There were 2 sister’s boyfriends. We played a lots of card game, video game and watched movies. The turkey’s taste was not so bad,I like it. However mmy host mom’s cook is so nice so I ate so much. I am afraid of my weight…
The next day of Thanksgivig, its Christmas mood! We decorated house singing a christmas songs. At night, the view is so beautiful I can’t say anything!
Its my favorite time that  I take a jacuzzi with Moxxi after dinner. It looks like Japaese Onsen. I put in bath agent of Onsen  in jacuzzi, Ilike that and Moxxi likes too. I can’t live without Onsen because its japanese culture.

This area where I living, but we can go down town by car only 20minutes. There are many stores, like big mall. That’s why I usually go to shopping, movies and do to pizza store with my host mom and Moxxi.
Also we can go Denver only 40minutes by car. Its not so far, so we go to Denver a lot of time. The other day I went to German Festival in Denver with other foreign exchange students. They are from Germany, China and Italy. I like view of Denver because it looks like London, threre is so clean, no garvage not too big and not so many people. We are going to go to Denver at night to see big parade.

I’d like to talk about my school a litte bit. Its still hard to study English and Modern America,but there are my friends who help for me and sometimes I can watch movie, so its fun. In Modern america, teacher says me ” Do you wana talk for everyone about JAPAN?” I’m always nurvous because my English is broken, but students listen to  me, interested me. When I talked about  Japanese school system and Hokusei, some girls said ” Its not fun! If I can’t eat food, use phone, everyone looks like same and just listen teacher’s talk  then take notes!” but some boys said ” its good for students to clean classroom”.
This sentense is good for my study. 
Anotherday, in Drawing class, teacher said suddenly “everyone! Wash your hands!” and bigin donuts party. How free American people! but I enjoyed donuts and watch cartoon. Next time, in Geometry class will do pizza party lol 
As you can see, my school life is like this. I spend hard time but enjoy!

I’m so sorry. Its too long my report. Almost 4months past since I came here, I feel anxiety and impatience, but I just do my best.
