アメリカノースダコタ州のディキンソン高校に留学中の網塚梨菜さんから第５回目の留学報告が届きました。

 

みなさんこんにちは！網塚梨菜です。五月に入り帰国まで残り一ヶ月となりました。始まる前は留学が成功するか不安がありましたが、今帰国を前にして私がここで過ごした時間はとても大切なものだと実感できます。ホスト先に帰国日の封筒が届いた時、すごいすごい悲しい気持ちになりました。これが私にとって最後の留学レポートになります。なので、たくさんの出来事をみなさんと共有したいです。

まずはこの前のレポートの続きの陸上部のことです。練習は毎日放課後にあります。5キロほど走る練習はとても大変ですが、私は練習の中でみんなが、「頑張れ」や「よくやったね」という声かけがとても好きで支えになっています。何度かミーティングにも行きました。記録はまあまあですが、たくさんいい経験をしています。短距離を選んでいるので、主に100mと200mをしています。最近は400mとリレーにも出ましたが、やっぱり、100mが一番好きです。

次はプロムに行った時のことです。プロムの前の日にドイツからの留学生とメイクの練習をして、ネイルをして、髪型を考えて、しかもその日は陸上のミーティングから夜遅くに帰ってきたので、忙しかったです。当日は身支度を済ませて、友達といろんな場所でプロムピクチャーを撮りました。会場にいた多くのジュニアとシニアはとてもかわいくて、かっこよくて、そんなみんなと過ごしたプロムは最高の時間でした。

最後は引越しをしたことです！引越しを一度もしたことがないので、引越しの大変さがよくわかりました。笑 新しい家は綺麗で過ごしやすいですが、前の家が少し恋しいです。先週新しい家に引越したんですが、その時の自分の荷物の多さに気が付き、驚きました。帰国も近いので荷物の整理をボチボチ準備していく予定です。

聞いてください！今月ホストファミリーとメジャーを観に行くことが決まりました！野球が大好きなのでとも嬉しいです。

色々な経験をして、自ら挑戦できたことが一つの大きな成長です。残り一ヶ月悔いのないように過ごしていきます。そして、みなさんに会えるのを楽しみにしています。

Hello everyone! This is Rina Amitsuka. It’s only one month left until I leave. I was worried about this exchange year whether it would be a success for me before I come, but I feel the short time which I have left here is important for me before I go back to Japan. When I received the itinerary from JFIE, I felt very, very sad. This is the last report for me, so I would like to share a lot of what has happened with you guys.

First is about the track which is continuation from the last report. We have a practice every single day after school. This practice is so hard because we always run about 5km and exercise. But I like it and it makes me feel comfortable when they say something like “Keep working ” or ” Good job Rina”. I have already went to track meeting a few times. My time is not so good enough but I have had a good experience a lot. Mostly I do 100m and 200m because I’m choosing sprint. I took part in 400m and relay recently but I like to run 100m after all.

Next is about when I went to prom. The day before prom my friends and I practiced makeup, nail and hair which would match my dress. That was such a busy day because I had to go back home from track meeting that night. The day of prom, I took a lot of pictures with friends at many different places after we finished getting ready. A lot of junior and senior who were in the school were so cute and hot. Sharing prom I with my friends was great time. It is an experience that I will never forget.

Last one is about my host family and I moving from our house to the new house! I didn’t understand how hard it is because I have never moved before. The new house is very clean and comfortable but I kind of miss the old house. We moved to the new house last week. I realized one thing is that I have so much stuff. I was really surprised. I’m going to pack my stuff soon because I don’t have much time left here.

Guess what!! I decided to go watch baseball game with host family! I’m so happy because I love baseball so much and this is my dream.

I have experienced a lot which is good and bad and it has been a challenge for me to do most everything by myself. Of my host family and friends support for me. I spent the last month without any regrets. And I’m looking forward to see you guys.
