アメリカのインディアナ州、キャッスル高校に留学中の山脇幹子さんから第４回目の留学報告が届きました。

 

こんにちは。幹子です。お元気ですか。私は元気です。今宿題をしています(笑)。お話したいことがあります。まず、昨年の11月から望んでいたことなのですが、ようやく3週間前に別のホストファミリーに変えてもらいました。田邊先生や日本の留学団体が尽力してくれたおかげで実現しました。本当に本当に感謝しています。ホストチェンジしてから楽しいことをたくさんしています。映画に行ったり、ゴルフに行ったり、若い子に人気のお店に食べに行ったり。春休みはホストファミリーと旅行に行く予定でしたが、友達のお家に泊まることにして、その友達の家族がホストファミリーになってくれたんです。その家族は神様を信じていて、毎週日曜日に教会に行っています。日本では経験できないことなので、私にとって貴重な経験になっています。

バスケットチームの子たちから花束をもらいました。みんな大好きです。2月だったと思いますが、バスケットチームとして最後の会合でした。みんなとプレーできないのはとても悲しくて信じられなかったのですが、みんな私のことを決して忘れないと約束してくれました。どんな言葉でも、私の気持ちを表現することはできないのですが、心の底から彼女たちにありがとうと言いたいです。

4月2日にプロムがありました。とても興奮しましたし、素晴らしいプロムでした。私の人生で最初でおそらく最後のプロムです。私をプロムに招待してくれた人に感謝の気持ちを伝えたいです。

日本に帰国するまであと約5週間です。しんじられないですが、日本の食べ物が恋しいですし、特に母が作ってくれる料理が恋しいので、もう少しで食べられると思うと嬉しいです。でもその前に体重を落とさないと。体重のことを考えると楽しくないので、考えないようにして好きなものを好きなだけ食べます！！！

Hi.  I’m Motoko.  How are you guys doing?  I’m good.  I’m doing my homework now.lol  Well…I have some stories that I wanna tell you.  First, I moved to another host family approximately three weeks ago that I had wanted to since November,2015.  Everyone, like Mr.Tanabe and Japanese agency worked hard for me a lot.  I’m really really appreciate and proud of you guys.  Thank you so much.  Since I moved, I was doing lots of fun things, like go watch some movies, go play golf, go eat something like popular among teenagers, and so on.  On my spring break, my plan was taking a trip with a host family but I stayed with my friend’s house and they became my new host family!!  Yayay!!!!!!!  They bless a god a lot and we go to church every Sunday.  That’s not bad I mean like that is I can’t experience in Japan.

 I had a banquet with girls basketball team.  I love them so much.  That was maybe on February and last assembling as ball team.  You know I was so sad and not believe but they promised me to do not forget me ever.  I don’t know how to express my feeling in any word but I’m pretty sure I can say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

 I joined the prom which was held on April 2.  I was like how exciting and also gorgeous!!  Our prom was awesome and you know that was my first and maybe last prom in my life.  I’d like to say thanks who invited me to a prom.

 I have approximately five weeks until flying back home.  I can’t believe that…but you know I miss Japanese food especially the food which is made by my mom, so I can eat those a couple more weeks!!lol  However…I HAVE TO lose my weight tho.  Okey, I don’t think I can enjoy if I worry about my weight so…I might eat food as much as I want!!!
