カナダサスカチュワン州のトミー・ダグラス高校に留学中の佐々木愛さんから第４回目の留学報告が届きました。

 

こんにちは。カナダのサスカチュワン州に留学中の佐々木愛です。４回目のレポートとなりました。雪も溶け、暖かくなってきましたね。バレンタインは日本では毎年作っていましたが、カナダではチョコレートを交換する習慣があるのかわからなかったので買いました笑。もしなかったら自分が食べれるので。結局はホストファミリーとモンスターのカップケーキを作りました。

 

そしてバレンタイン休暇の１週間で、バスで５時間かけて、ホストシスターのお父さんの家に遊びに行きました。そこの家族はみんな素晴らしい人たちでした。子供たちがテレビやゲームなどをせず、フランス語の本を読んだり、絵を描いたりしていたのです。そして食事も健康的で、男の子がキュウリを丸々２本ぐらい食べていました。

 

そして家族みんなでプールにも行きました。そこにはターザンの綱とクライミングウォールがあって楽しかったのですが、プールが私には深すぎました。子供たちは深いところでも普通に楽しんでいたのですが、私は息継ぎをするのが大変でした。カナダの人は泳ぎが上手いから、誰も足の届かないプールを作ってしまうのでしょう。どうして泳ぎが上手いのか気になりますね。

 

１日をゆったりと過ごした日、子供達に尻滑りに行こうと言われました。私は明日の予定を話しているのだと思い、いいよと答えると、今から庭に行くんだよと言われびっくりしました。なぜなら、その時夜8時だったのです。しかし、庭をライトアップして、女の子を雪で固めて遊び、その後に路上でホッケーをすると、夜に遊ぶのも悪くはないと思いました。

 

そして、お父さんが警察官なので警察署の見学をさせてもらいました。日本の警察署と違い、町の人々と受付の人が話すところが、透明ガラスのしきりで隔たれていました。警察署の安全を守るためでしょう。そして２階には体を鍛えるためのジムがありました。お父さんが言いました。そこにいる人は警察官だけど制服をきていないんだ。カナダのそんな自由なところも私は好きです。帰る日の前日の夜にお父さんが、警察の車の写真を私にプレゼントしていないことに気づき、急遽、警察官が身につけているある物の一部を私にくれました。それは私の宝物なので秘密です笑。

 

そして、インターナショナルのグループのイベントでスキーにまた行きました。遠いスキー場にまた来られたこと、１日中スキーをしていられたことはとても幸せでした。今度からはスノーボードに挑戦してみようかと思っています。雪がもう溶けきってしまっているかもしれませんが…。そして今は、バンドの旅行で隣の州の首都エドモントンに向かっています。エドモントンのモールは、スケートリンクやプール、アミューズメントパークやもちろん買い物もできるくらい大きいと聞いています。どんな旅行になるのか楽しみです。

 

何かの縁があって知り合った人達と離れてしまうのは寂しいですが、残り１００日くらいしかない留学生活も充実したものとなるように努力します。それではまた次回のレポートで会いましょう。

 

いままでレポートを日本語でしか書いてこなかったので、今回お詫びとしてたくさん書きました笑

 

Hello. I am Ai Sasaki who stays in Saskatchewan. This is 4 times in my report. Snow is melting, and nice warm in this time. I had made truffle every year on the Valentine’s Day. However, I didn’t know Canadian have that custom, and I bought chocolates. If they don’t have the custom, It will be mine lol Finally, I made monster cupcakes with my host family.

 

Secondly, I went to father’s house of host sister in the Valentine week, and it took 5 hours by bus. The family is awesome people. The reason why is that the children read French books and draw pictures without watching TV and playing games. Also, their food was healthy, and the boy ate 2 cucumbers.

 

Thirdly, we went to swimming all of the family. There were a rope of Tarzan and climbing wall, so I was fun. However, it was deep for me. The children were exciting in there, but I can hardly breathe. I thought that Canadian are good at swimming, so they wanted to make that anybody can’t reach them feet. I wonder why Canadian are good at swimming.

 

When I spend all day at home, children asked me what do you want to go slipping. I thought that we are talking about tomorrow’s schedule, so I said Yes! Then, they told me what we are going to go backyard right now, so I was surprised. The reason why is it was 8pm. Also, we right up to backyard, and we covered of snow to a girl. After we played hockey on the road, I thought It was not bad feeling that we play at night.

 

Fourthly, her father is policeman, so I visited to the police officer. There were different between Japan and Canada such as the customer service was covered by transparently glass. I thought that it save to the police officer. The upstairs were the gym to train one’s body. Her father said, he is also police man, but he doesn’t wear the uniform. I like Canada like that. Her father noticed to present the picture of the police car for me at night before we will go home. Moreover, He gave to me something that part of policeman in haste. It’s a secret what that is.

 

I went to skiing with International group. I was happy to come there again and I could skiing all day. I think if I can go mountain again, I want to try snowboarding. Might be snow was melt all of them… By the way, I am going to go to Edmonton to band trip beside my state. I heard that the Edmonton Mall is big such as skate-rink, pool, amusement park and shopping. I am exciting how is going to band trip.

 

I am going to miss you who I met because I have only 100days until I will go back to Japan. However, I don’t have a time to cry, so I will work hard to success my study abroad. See you later the next my report.
