アメリカのインディアナ州、ベン・デイビス高校に留学中の山田真祐子さんから第４回目の留学報告が届きました。

 

こんにちは、真祐子です。これが私の最後の留学報告になります。もうすぐ帰国ことが信じられません。私の留学生活は矢のように過ぎて行きましたが、私の人生にとって最も貴重な一年になると確信しています。一年前は今の私の生活が想像もつきませんでした。

 

まずは春休みについてお話ししたいと思います。私はホストマザーのシスターの家族と一緒に一週間テネシー州に行ってきました。彼らの家庭にはタイからの留学生がいるんです。彼女と友達になれてとても嬉しいですし、彼女が私の人生に関わってくれて一緒にテネシーまで行けたことに感謝しています。テネシーは、私に一番合っているところだと思います。全てが素晴らしいですし、そこの3月の天候は最高でした。そこでの一番の思い出は、国立公園にハイキングに行ったことです。聞いて下さい！私たちは合計で5時間も歩いたんですよ！とても辛くて死ぬかと思いました。楽しくなるはずのハイキングでしたが、道中は会話する暇もないくらいでした。でも山の頂上は本当に美しかったです。そこから滝を見ることが出来ました。その滝を見るだけでも、5時間歩いた甲斐があったと思います。そしてもちろんお買い物も楽しみましたよ！信じられない位たくさんのショッピングをしました。パンケーキも美味しかったです。凄く美味しくて病み付きになる味で、毎日違った種類のパンケーキを食べていた気がします。とにかく、私の周りの人たちに対する幸せな気持ちと感謝の気持ちで一杯です。

 

私の最初で最後のプロムが5月に迫っています。今から待ちきれません。6月に学校が終わってしまうなんて信じられないです。そしてここを離れたくないですし、友達と別れたくありません。それが一番つらいことだとは分かっていますが、最後の瞬間までここでの生活を楽しみたいと思います。

皆さん、もうじき会えるのを楽しみにしています。

Hi this is Mayuko. This is gonna be the last report for me. I can’t believe that the time to go back to Japan is soon. My exchange year has gone like a flash but I’m sure this is gonna be the most precious year in my life. A year ago I would never have pictured my life the way it is now.

So I’m going to talk about my spring break first. I went visit Tennessee for a week with my host mom’s sister’s family. They have a exchange student from Thailand. We are so good friends so I’m so happy that I could have her in my life and went there together. I think Tennessee is the best place for me. Everything was awesome and it was pretty nice weather for March. My best memory over there is hiking in national park. Guess what!!!! We walked about 5 hours total! It was so hard that I felt like I’m going to die. It was supposed to be so much fun but we didn’t have any time to have some conversations! lol But the top of mountain was real beautiful. we could see the water fall there. I’m sure that was worth it to take few hours to go there. Anything else I did zip lining which was so awesome for the first time. We tried six lines with nice breeze.  And of course we enjoyed girls shopping!lol Incredibly we went shopping a lot!!!lol Also we enjoyed southern pancake. I fancy them so much it is because those were so addictive taste and I think we tried different kind pancake every day.lol Anyways I was full of happiness and gratitude to people who were around me.

My first and last prom is coming up in May! I can’t wait it so much. I can’t believe that school is over in June and I really don’t want to leave there and my awesome friends. I know it is going to be the hardest thing ever but I will enjoy it until very last minute!
