カナダのアルバータ州、ウィロー・クリーク・コンポジット高校に留学中の中田菜々さんから、第４回目の留学報告が届きました。

 

こんにちは。私の住んでいるところでは段々暖かくなっています。先日は20度位まで上がりました。最近はとても寒かったのですが。それからロッキーが、この家に来た時と比べると随分大きくなりました。ところで、私はカナダに来るまでは犬が苦手だったのですが、ロッキーは、吠えますが怖くありません。不思議です。

 

私の教会では毎週火曜日に10代の子達の活動があり、男女に分かれて色々なことをしています。先週はパジャマを作りました。服を塗ったのは初めてだったのでとても楽しかったです。それからドッジボールやバレーボールもします。先日は暗い中でバレーボールをしました。私はあまり上手に出来ないので見ていただけですが、それでも楽しかったです。月に1度箪笥パーティーにも行きます。これも楽しいです。先日ホストマザーが私に、「日本でもダンスパーティーに行ったことある？」と聞いてきたので、一度もないと答えると驚いていました。じゃあ男の子とはどうやって知り合うの？あなたの学校は女子校よね、と言ったので、確かにそうだと思いました(笑)。

 

4月21日から24日までバンドの演奏旅行があり、ブリティッシュコロンビアのウィスラーに行きました。一緒に音楽を演奏したり、買い物に行ったり、ジャズコンサートを見に行ったりしました。とても楽しかったですし、素敵な場所でした。ウィスラーにはもう一度行ってみたいです。

 

カナダでは楽しく過ごしていますが、いつも日本のことを恋しく思っています。残り少ない留学生活を有意義に過ごしたいと思います。

Hi.  It’s getting warm here.  It was about 20 degrees the other day.  I think it was very cold recently.  And Rocky grew up.  He is bigger than when he came here.  By the way, I was afraid of dogs before came to Canada, but Rocky is not scary even he barks.  It’s wonder. 

 

In my church, we have activity of teenagers every Tuesday, and we often do something divide by men and women.  I made a pants of pajamas last week.  It was fun for me because it was first time to make clothes by myself.  And we often play dodgeball and volleyball.  They played volleyball in the dark the other day.  I can’t play so much so I just watched this but it was fun, too.  We also go to dance party once a month.  I like it, too.  The other day, my host mom asked me “Did you go dance party in Japan?” and I said “No.  Never.” And she was surprise.  She said “How do you meet boys?  Your school is girls school, right?”  I thought that is true.    lol

 

And I went to band trip from April 21 to 24.  We went to Whistler in BC.  We played music together, and we went shopping, and watched jazz concert.  It was so fun and it was very beautiful place. I wanna go Whistler again.

 

I’m having fun in Canada.  But I always missed Japan.  I wanna make good use of my rest of study abroad.
