カナダに留学中の角町　ことみさんから第一回目の留学報告が届きました。

こんにちは。ことみです。みなさんお元気ですか。初めてのレポートなので私のホストファミリーのことを皆さんにお知らせします。ホストマザー、ファーザー、姉、弟がいます。ホストファーザーは私の通う学校Vincent Massey で働いています。はじめに聞いたときはとても驚きました。だって、学校でも一日一回は会うのです。そして、弟も同じ学校に通っています。今、とても良い環境を与えられ、とても感謝しています。弟は今、シーズンなのでFootballをやっています。冬になるとアイスホッケーをしますが、私にはまだルールがわかりません。近いうちに勉強します。カナダでは大家族で過ごしています。日本では一人っ子なので時々混乱しますが、一緒に映画を見たり、ポケモンGoをやったりして楽しんでいます。ポケモンGoは男の子との一緒に過ごすのに便利な道具です。弟との距離が一気に縮まりました。

カナダに来てから、多くの感謝の気持ちを感じています。みんな私にとても親切です。”Thank you”は本当に魔法の言葉ですね。何度もこの言葉に助けられています。大切なことを書くのを忘れていました。私のホストファミリーは留学生を受け入れるのが初めてなのです。だから、私は彼らにとって受け入れ第一号です。とても光栄なことです。

では、こちらでのことを少しお話しします。最初の週末にファミリーが私をClear Lakeに連れて行ってくれました。私が滞在しているマニトバは100,000の湖があることで有名で、その中でもClear Lakeはとても有名で観光名所です。カナダの人たちは湖で泳ぐのが大好きです。私は泳ぐのが得意ではないので、ちょっと信じられませんでした。湖畔ではBBQをしたり、S’moreを作りました。S’moreとはマシュマロとクッキーとチョコを焼いたおやつです。夜空の星も楽しみました。私はカナダの空が大好きです。真夜中に明かりが全くないところに行くと、プラネタリュムのようにとっても美しい星が見られます。まだ、映せていないけど、みんなにもあの星空を見てもらいたいです。

Hello! It’s Kotomi. How are you doing? As you know, it’s my first report so I’d like to share about my host family. I have mother, father, older sister, and younger brother. My host dad works at Vincent Massey, its my host school! I was so surprised when I heard. Because l met him almost time in a day. Ha ha. And host brother go to same school too. I’m blessed with a good environment I think. My host brother is playing football now because on season. In winter, he plays ice hockey, but I don’t know both of rule. I must know them. So I got full family in Canada! I was only child in Japan and sometimes I’m confused, but I’ve been enjoying like watching movies and hunting Pokemon lol. Pokemon Go is good tool to hang out with Canadian boys l guess. Because it reduced the distances between me and brother. Actually I felt a lot of thankfulness since I arrived in Canada. Everyone are kind to me so I’m happy. “Thank you” is magic word. It helps me a lot. Ah I forgot an important thing that I wanted to say. This is the first time to hosting exchange student for my family. So it means I’m a first student for them. I was grad to chose me as only student. Well, I’ll share you guys to my experience so far. First weekend, my family took me a Clear lake. Manitoba has many lakes as land of 100,000 lakes. Especially Clearlake is famous in Manitoba. It’s like tourist spot rather than just lake. Then I found that people in Canada really likes pool and swimming.  I can’t believe because I’m not good at swimming. Well I’ ve been busy weekend.  At that lake, we had BBQ and made S’more. Do you know it? It is treat that baked marshmallows with cookies and chocolate. I had a lot of fun so far like see the beautiful stars in the sky. I love sky in Canada. In the midnight, if you in somewhere that no lights, you can see so beautiful stars like planetarium. I really wanted show you guys it though picture, but l couldn’t catch. Sorry about that. Actually, this report’s deadline is only 2days from started school so I’ll write about school next time. Thank you for reading. See ya soon!
