アメリカに留学中の藤根利菜さんから第2回目の留学報告が届きました。

Hi, I’m Rina Fujine from Michigan USA. Michigan getting cold these days.

This is my second report, at first report I said I make new friends and they will go same school, but after that I changed host family and my new host family lives in another village, so I need to move also I had to say goodbye to my friends. I changed just 10 days, because I was crying every day from stress before I changed host family. However, I’m getting better now.

 

First, I’ll talk about my new host family, my family is father, mother, sister and brother, also they have a lot of pets. At first, I was so scared their pets because I don’t like animals (especially dogs) but now I can touch cats and small dog. However, I still scared big dog, because when I get home he always jumping to me. Anyway, my host mom cooks very well, so I sometimes eat a lot, then my host brother mad me. I really like that, so if my host parents say Let’s eat out tonight, it makes me sad, because I don’t like it.  

My host family really likes camping, so I went camping maybe three times. In September my sister was birthday, so we went to Chicago and Lake Michigan. Chicago has a lot of stuff, so I enjoyed trip.

 

Next, I’ll talk about school. My school is very small, I think they have about 300 students. When I go to school, I ride school bus, but I live in the country so I can see forest, a farm, horse, tree, a farm again, tree, cows. That’s it. Our country doesn’t have traffic light, so I can go home soon. I’m happy because I want to go home soon after school.

The first day of school, I was super nervous, especially I was scared lunch time because I had no idea where I can sit down but, a girl talking to me, so I could eat with her and her friends. However, I have a lot of friends now, so I’m enjoying school every day. My friends always make me happy and laughing. They really want to know about Japan, so they ask me a lot of question. Some friends love google translate, so they use it every day to find funny Japanese word.

However I have to try more harder anything(especially study) so I’ll try to do my best.

こんにちは、Michigan州に留学中の藤根利菜です。最近こちらは寒くなってきました。

前回のレポートの後すぐにホストチェンジをし、車で約１時間の別の街に移動しました。Michiganに来てから10日でホストチェンジをしたのですが、その10日間はとても辛くもの凄く長く感じました。ホストチェンジ後は楽しく生活しています。

 

まず、ホストファミリーについてお話します。私のホストファミリーは、ファザー、マザー、シスター、ブラザー、そして沢山のペットです。多すぎて書くのが面倒なのでペットの紹介は省きます。最初に彼らの家に来た時、私は本当に動物が嫌いでした。(特に犬)

ですが、今は少しマシになったと思います(大型犬を除く)　まだ大型犬が苦手な理由は私が外出先から家に戻ると飛んでくるからです。ドアを開けることが恐怖でしかありません。

私の動物嫌いな話はこの辺で終わりにします。ホストマザーは料理がとても上手です。時々食べ過ぎてブラザーに怒られます。最近は全然空腹を感じていないので暴食していません。

私のホストファミリーはキャンプがとにかく好きなので3回くらい行きました。あと、9月にシスターが誕生日だったので、ChicagoとLake Michiganに旅行に行きました。とても楽しかったです。

 

次に学校についてお話します。私の通っている学校は生徒数約300人の小さな学校です。私は登下校の時にスクールバスに乗るのですが窓から見えるのは、森、畑、馬、木、また畑、木、牛、以上です。ここにはどうやら信号がないようなので私は早く家に帰れます。学校が終わったら即帰宅したい私には最高ですね。

学校初日は日本で散々脅されてきたので物凄く緊張しました。lunchの時間はもはや恐怖でした。ですが、カフェテリアをさまよっていたら優しい子が声を掛けてくれましたのでその子たちと一緒にlunchを食べました。もうlunchの時間は怖くないです。

今は友達もできて毎日学校に行くことが楽しいです。私の友達は日本についてすごく興味を持ってくれていて私に沢山日本について質問してきます。何人かの友達はGoogle翻訳を愛用していて毎日笑顔で私に日本語の文章を見せて喜んでいます。私の通う学校にはアジア人は私と中国からの留学生の2人なのでとても目立ちます。見慣れていない顔に興味があるのかよく知らない人も話しかけてくれます。だから私はこの学校が好きです。

ただ、まだまだ努力が必要(主に勉強)なのでもっと頑張りたいと思います。
