アメリカに留学中の益子朱里さんから第4回目の留学報告が届きました。

 Hello.  I am Juri Masuko from Eureka, Montana. how are you guys doing? I am good but I am spending busy and crazy days! First of all, I tried to play Basketball. I have no experience to play Basketball so it was really hard for me. However, the Basketball coaches are really kind to me and my friends are also kind so I had so much fun time to play Basketball with them. I was so glad that I could be in this wonderful team as a player. Next, I am going to write about my school life. I was actually depressed… I did not want to do anything and I felt like my English is getting worse. So I sometimes skipped classes… I am trying to do my best but everything was not going well at all. My English teacher helps me a lot and older people make me feel so much better. Thanks to beautiful people, I got a chance to reconsider my own self. My host father has a friend who is Japanese and she has a job in here. Finally, I could met her! She is 60 years old and she has been living in here for 25 years. I was really surprised. We talked about “life” in Japanese and I learned a lot from her. It was such a great taking with her. I really want to talk to her again! Next, I am going to tell you about Prom. I went prom with my sweet friends and I had so much fun with them! I wish I could go to prom again. Before going to prom, I was my friend’s house to get ready for prom! My friend did my make up and her mother did my hair. Moreover, I borrowed a beautiful blue dress from my friend. I
really appreciate them. We were just dancing until midnight and after that, I had a sleepover at her house. Thank you for such a wonderful time guys! Anyway, I just keep trying to do my best and I would love to have some fun! Thank you for reading my report. see you on next report.

こんにちは。モンタナ州ユリーカに留学中の益子珠里です。みなさんはいかがお過ごしでしょうか？私は毎日忙しく、大変な生活を送っていますが元気になんとかやっています。私は次にバスケットボールに挑戦しました。私はバスケットボールの経験がほとんどなくとても大変でしたが、コーチの方々と友達がとても親切だったので短い時間でしたが楽しむことができました。このチームに一人の選手としてバスケットボールができたことがとてもうれしかったです。次に、学校生活についてお話ししようと思います。学校生活は英語力が伸びてくるに連れえて、簡単になると思っていましたが、全くそんなことないです。難しくなるばかりで、何度か授業を飛ばしたこともありました。ですが、私の英語の先生と大人の方々が私の人生の相談にのってくださったりととても助けていただきました。話は変わりますが、私のホストファザーの日本お会いしました。彼女はここユリーカモンタナに約２５年間住んでいるとお聞きしてとても驚きました。彼女と”人生”の話をし、彼女からとても大切なことを学びました。次にプロムにつてお話しします。この日は今までで一番と言っていいほど楽しかったです。準備のために友達の家に行って友達に化粧をしてもらい、その子の母親に髪の毛をやっていただきました。私たちは夜中までひたすら踊り続け、その後彼女の家に泊まりに来ました。もう一度プロムに行きたいくらいです。素晴らしい時間をありがとうみんな！とにかく、このまま自分のベストを尽くして、残りすくない時間を無駄にせず楽しみながら頑張ります。私のレポートを読んでくださりありがとうございました。では次のレポートで。
