ミシガン州のオワッソ高校に留学中の関根輝歩さんから第5回目の留学報告が届きました。

Hello guys! I’m Kiho Sekine. I’m in Owosso, Michigan. Everybody told me that they will miss me when I go back to Japan. I am so happy to hear that and I will really miss them, but I am excited to go back Japan and eat Japanese food. Anyway, I’d like to talk about Prom, my new host family, and my school life this time. And this is my last time to write my student report. Thank you for reading and It’s going to be your turn 5G girls!

              I had a prom in April 26^th. I went there with my friends. I was told that I was so pretty by many people. My school’s prom is for junior and senior, but my school is kind of small so not many people were there. I ate dinner and danced. That was greater time than homecoming.

              I’m staying with new host family. Last host family had their problem and my host mother freak out and became crazy so I changed. My coordinators sympathized me and they told me that I shouldn’t contact with them anymore. My new host family is my friend and she is so nice. Also, her mother is very nice. I really love them and I’m having a great time. My host family is from Lebanon, but my host sister is born and grew up in America so she only speaks English. I love my new host family.

              I’m in the tennis team and I’m officially in the JV 3^rd single, but I sometimes play in Varsity. This is my first time to play tennis, but I’, good at it. I mean that this is my first time, but I’m doing well. I have a practice almost every day. I made friends there and they are so nice so I am very happy.

 みなさん、こんにちは。ミシガン州のオワッソに留学中の関根輝歩です。最近は周りの人から私が帰ると寂しくなると言われます。私も寂しくなりますが日本食を食べられるのが楽しみです。今回は、プロム、新しいホストファミリー、そして私の最近の学校生活についてお話しします。ちなみに今回が私の最後のレポートになります。お読みくださった皆様ありがとうございました。そして、次は５Gのみなさんの番ですよ！

さて、私は４月２６日にプロムがありました。私はホストシスターと友達と行きました。色々な人から綺麗と言われ嬉しかったです。私の学校はジュニアとシニアが参加できたのでたくさんの友達がいたので嬉しかったです。ホームカミングよりも楽しかったです。

私は今、新しいホストファミリーと過ごしています。私の新しいホストファミリーはレバノンからの移民です。ですがホストシスターはアメリカで生まれ育ったので英語しか喋りません。前のホストファミリーはホストシスターがレズビアンであることが発覚しマザーが宗教上で禁止されているのに同性愛に走ったシスターにブチ切れて頭がおかしくなりました。ホストファミリー上の都合で変えました。私のコーディネーターはこれ以上前のホストファミリーと関わる必要はないし嫌ならば連絡すらも取らなくて良いと言われました。私の新しいホストファミリーはもっと早くくればよかったのにとかあと二ヶ月しかないけど良い思い出を作ろうねと言ってくれました。ですから、今は楽しいです。周りにもよく「明るくなったね」や「よく笑うようになったね」と言われます。

私はテニス部に入部しました。テニスは初めてなのですが初めてにしてはうまくできてます。女の子たちはとても優しくて大好きです。いつも助けてくれたりテニスを教えてくれたりするので楽しいです。私のホストシスターも入部しているので一緒に練習したりできて嬉しいです。
