アメリカのスプリングフィールドに留学している蒲生藍子さんから第１回目の留学報告が届きました。

留学先の紹介と留学での目標 

【日本語】 

アメリカについに到着しました！学校が始まるまでの5日間はホストファミリーにSpringfieldの有名どころを紹介してもらいながら、アメリカを体感しました。ファミリーとは友達のような感じもしていて、いつもたくさん話しています。 

私が選択した科目は、1日目がマーケティング、リクリエーション体育、陶芸、アメリカンヒストリーです。二日目はメディア、心理学、英語、法医学です。この二日間を繰り返した一定の時間割になります。教科を選べるこの仕組みが日本と大きく異なるため、自分の興味のある分野に力を入れた学習を進めることができてすごく興味深いです。初めの一週間は、毎日、毎分、毎秒が新しいことで埋め尽くされていて興奮が止まりませんでした。どこを見ても自分を表現しているクールな生徒ばかりで自分のお気に入りの服を持ってくるべきだったと後悔しました。そのくらいみんながみんな個性を持っていて毎日が色鮮やかで充実しています。最初の金曜日にはフットボールの試合を見て、留学エージェントのパーティーにも参加し、さらに友達が増えていきます！Springfieldは州の中で最も大きい都市の一つなこともあり、レジャー施設と自然どちらも充実していて、気になるスポットがたくさんあります。キャンセルになってしまった前のホストファミリーとも会い、陶芸をしたり、親戚の皆さんとディナーをしたりもしました。学校から帰った放課後は宿題かこの報告レポートに追われているか、友達とモールに行ったりゲームを見に行ったりでゆっくりお家を体験する暇もありません。とにかくすべての時間を使い切っています。学校での授業は三週間目の今の私にとってはハードな科目もありますが、何とか追いつくのに必死に楽しみながら頑張っています。 

　そしてこの留学の目標、それは「やりたいを見つける」です。アメリカン高校生のように自分を表現し、気になったことはとことん挑戦して自分の好きなことをほんとに愛することを学んで、本気で自分がやりたいことを見つけ出します。きっとこの留学は一瞬にして終わってしまいます。そんな中でも将来を考えんければならないらしいです。英語力やコミュニケーション能力は当たり前に、必死に習得していきます。楽しみながら、いつも自分の意志に気づいてこの留学人生を送ります！！ 

【English】 

My voyage began‼I FINALLY met my host family. James and Ann would be my best host family ever. They are super nice and always bickering with each other and I love joining their cutie fights. There is also another family member, a dog, his name is KIKI. He barks at me, but I believe we got along a little bit in these three weeks. James and Ann take me all around the town and introduce me to amassing spots in Springfield. Springfield has a sister city in Japan. So, people here know some of Japanese culture and are curious about my story of my Japanese life. The high school I go to has about 1200 students and the school life here is extremely exciting and interesting for me. Everyone looks gorgeous expressing themselves and I love the colorful culture here so much. The subject I chose are Marketing, Recreation PE, Ceramic and American history on first days, and I also have Media, AP psychology, English 3 and Forensic. Some of these classes are super hard for me to handle, but they all hit my interests for real. My favorite one is Forensic because the friends in the class are all amassing and sweet, and this subject is not really common in Japan. Everything, everyone is new and adventure for me. I’m literally enjoying experiencing other cultures here!! The yellow American school bus is one of my dreams from Japan. Outside the school, I always rush from my homework, hang out with friends, or go see the football game. I hardly ever have free time to get bored. There are always too many things to do. I enjoy busy new life. I’m also in a marketing and leadership club named DECA, and world language club that goes to dinner, watches foreign movies, and hold field trips to learn foreign languages. By doing those activities, I want to communicate with other people from other cultures to widen my perspective. There would be hard things, but there would be also wonderful and joyful things, I guess. I just want to try whatever I want to try in this country. 

My goal in this program is “To Find What I do love to do”. This is not only for fun, but it’s also about my future. This program would end sooner than I expect now. Like others express themselves, I want to be able to show my color and build my career in the future throw this program.
