アメリカに留学中の 東井 優夏 さんから第四回目の留学報告が届きました。

皆さん、こんにちは。東井優夏です。私の留学生活も残り三か月となりました。私がもう受験生だということが信じられません。
　
　今回のレポートで今やっているスポーツについてお話したいと思います。前回のレポートでもお話ししたようにラクロスを始めました。まだ初めて少ししか経っていませんが、本当に楽しんでいます。チームはバーシティと呼ばれる上の学年で構成されるチームとＪＶと呼ばれるまだ初心者で構成されるチームに分かれています。私は初めてだったので、ＪＶチームにもう一人の留学生のこと一緒に入ることになりました。私たち以外のプレイヤーはみんな二、三歳年下ですが、ルールを分かりやすく教えてくれたり、快く受け入れてくれるのでとても感謝しています。日本でラクロスというとたくさんの人がプリキュアを連想するかましれませんが（笑）、大学に行くと意外と有名なスポーツです。今までクロスカントリー（マラソン）、チアリーディング、ラクロスと留学生活のなかで挑戦してきましたが、ラクロスが一番楽しくてハードなスポーツです。走ることがメインのクロスカントリーよりも走ります。（笑）初めての練習試合で、初めてゴールを決めたんです！しかもその試合で得点は私が決めた一点だけでした！その瞬間は本当に留学頑張っててよかったと思いました。（笑）たくさんのチームメイト、コーチが声をかけてくれて、ここでラクロスをすることができて幸せだなと思いました。

　留学に来て気づいたことがあるのでシェアしたいと思います。最近よく思うことは日本ってすごいんだなということです。私はこれまで日本に興味があるたくさんの人と出会いました。よく学校でアニメの話をしたり、日本語を教えたりする機会があります。日本人というだけで話の輪が広がるんです。私のホストファミリーの家で寿司パーティーも三回目を迎えました。太巻きを作れるように材料を用意して、各々が好きなように作って体験してもらうように毎回企画しています。たくさんの人がやってみたい、挑戦したいと言ってくれるので毎回苦労して準備するかいがあります。たくさんの友達や先生が日本に興味をもって、行ってみたいと言ってくれるのはとてもうれしいです。この間は、友達が日本人の私より日本が好きなんじゃないかというくらい日本について語っていました。それだけ魅力的な日本だということに気づくことができてよかったと思います。

私にとっての留学も残り三か月です。最後のラストスパートとして気を改めて、時間を大切にしながらすごしたいです。

Hello everyone! This is Yuna. There are only three months left in my study abroad life. I can’t believe that I will have to work on hard to enter the courage after back to Japan.

I am going to talk about sport I’m enjoying it so for. I have just started to play lacrosse since last month. It’s really fun to play lacrosse so much! There are varsity team which is for senior and junior and JV team which is for student who doesn’t use to play it. I’m in JV with another exchange student. The player are younger than me beside me and exchange student. I appreciate that they are so kind to me and welcome to play together.
Many Japanese associate “Prikyua” which is anime for girl from lacrosse but it’s famous in the courage. I have done cross county, cheerleading and lacrosse. The lacrosse is the best sport I have ever played! The thing is that playing lacrosse is a lot of running more than cross country which is running is main thing to do. haha Something I have to tell about is that I scored one point during the scrimmage for first game for me. Moreover there was only me who scored in that game. I wondered that I have been work hard to experience this moment. I’m so glad to being and meeting my teammates and coaches.

I want to share something I realized. I’m thinking how cool Japan is recently. I have met many people who interesting in Japanese culture. I often talk about Japanese anime and food etc.. with my friends. I have had sushi party three times since I came here. I sat up sushi staff so that people can make own sushi with toppings what they want and experience making them. It’s a lot of work to planning that party but many people actually enjoy to make and eat sushi. It make me happy that my friends and teachers say to me that they want to visit to Japan. They were talking about Japan, it was funny because they seems loving Japan more than me! I’m glad I could realize that Japan is attractive country in the word!

I have only three months to go. I want to organize time as much I can and try everything I can do right now.
