舟橋　日向　の留学レポート

In summer this year, I went to the Mount Baker high school one month to study abroad. I stayed in Macclesfield. There were a lot of sheep, horse, cow and goat. It was a wealth of nature.

My host family had father, mother, two boys and one Italian study abroad student. There were three dogs, two cats, four chickens. They were very good person. We went to a lot of places in every weekend. Such as beach, shopping, park. I always made dinner with host mother and Italian student. And after dinner, I played games or watch movie with host brother. I liked at that time. I was share room with Italian student. She was good at to speak English. I always helped by her. We went to the city, and sometimes we went to the shop after school.

My school life was very fun. I didn’t talk from me, but everyone were kind for me. Thanks to my friend’s kindness I spend good time. There was a buddy in my school. She was very kind and friendly. And she likes Japanese Anime, so we talk about it a lot. There were a lot of different things between Japan and Australia. For example, we could eating, drinking, using phone in the classroom and there were many kind of school uniform, but we don’t had to ware school uniform. Almost all people doesn’t wear the school uniform. I surprised at first. But it was fun. I like Australian classes than Japan’s classes. Especially, I liked Agriculture class. There were many kind of animals in school. I took care of cows in every Agriculture class. It was the first time to touch cow. I was very scary, but I could touch a lot when one month passed.

I thought it is important to speak English a lot. I didn’t speak English so many, when I was in Japan. This is because I didn’t want to make a mistakes. But in Australia, I had to speak English to communicate with friends and family. My English was not good, but everyone tried to understand what I want to say. I could learn English by mistakes. So I think to make a mistake is good for learn English.

Thanks to my parents, I could good experience. I am grateful to my parents. I never forget this experience, and I want to go to Australia again.

 

私はMount Bakar High schoolに一か月間留学してきました。ホームステイ先は羊、馬、牛、ヤギなど動物が多くて自然あふれるMacclesfieldという場所でした。

私のホストファミリーはファザーとマザーと2人の男の子とイタリアの留学生がいて、3匹の犬と2匹のネコと4羽のニワトリを飼っていました。週末には海や買い物や公園につれていってくれました。毎日マザーと留学生の子と夜ご飯を作り、そのあとにはブラザーとゲームをしたり映画を見ました。留学生の子も私と同じ日からホームステイをしていたのですが、彼女は英語がペラペラでいつもわたしを助けてくれました。一緒にシティにいったり、学校帰りに買い物に行ったりして楽しかったです。

学校生活はとても充実していました。私はあまり自分から話すタイプではないですが、みんなが話しかけてくれたおかげで友達ができました。私のバディは日本のアニメが大好きだったので嬉しかったです。日本の学校と違うことがたくさんありました。授業中に飲食ができて、携帯をつかえました。最初はびっくりしたけど、私はオーストラリアの学校のほうが好きでした。特に私が好きだった授業はAgricultureです。学校にはたくさんの動物がいて私は牛のお世話をしました。最初は怖かったですが、一か月の留学の間に牛を触れるようになりました。日本ではなかなかできない経験なのでよかったです。

日本にいたときは、自分の英語に自信がなくてあまり積極的に英語を口にしてなかったですが、今回の留学を通して英語をたくさん話すことは大切だなと改めて思いました。

今回の留学に行かせてくれた両親に感謝しています。

またいつかオーストラリアにいきたいです。
